Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of the questions that we get asked most. If you do not see an answer to your question, please do not hesitate to call or drop us a line. We usually respond to form submission that business day, or the next business day if it is after hours. Of course, you could always call too, we love talking about tours and fun stuff.

May we pick the Apple Houses?

If you are sharing the bus with others, your tour driver will take responsibility for planning the best tour day possible for the entire group. If you are a private group; your wish is our command!

What should we expect in wine country during COVID-19?

Nothing is more important to us than keeping safe our guests and our staff! We ask that all travelers maintain a safe distance and recognize protocols set by the CDC. Masks are not required.

How do you determine which Apple Houses / vineyards are best to tour?

Rave reviews from previous tour groups.

How long will we spend at each apple house / vineyard?

No set time. Some apple house and vineyard experiences take longer than others. The average is about 90 minutes at each stop. We’ll spend a little longer at whichever of the apple house that we use for our picnic lunch.

Will you pick us up at our houses?

If you live within 10 miles of the center of Ellijay (Our Pick -up location) we will pick you up for no additional charge. Then we will head to the pick-up location to pick up the other travelers. If you live outside of a 10 mile radius (a maximum of 20 miles) there is an additional surcharge of $15 per person.

Can we get to your pick-up location by public transit?

No. Unfortunately, there is no public transportation in Ellijay at the moment. However there are ride-share and Uber services available that you may want to consider.

What time do you leave for the tour?

12:10 pm sharp. We ask that you come early so that you can get situated and checked in.

What time will you pick me up from my house?

We ask that you are ready by 11am when we begin picking travelers up.

Why do I need a photo ID, I’m obviously old enough?

Georgia law requires that we check each travelers ID.

Can under-age people tour with me?

Yes, under adult supervision.

Will we be too tipsy to drive at the end of the day?

Downtown Ellijay is full of beautiful shops and restaurants where you can spend some time and relax before driving home. We advise people who drive in for the day to arrange to hang out and have dinner before driving back to your destination. Better yet, you might consider staying at a local inn or B&B. Please contact us for suggestions.

Where do we meet in Ellijay?

We pick up travelers in the center of downtown Ellijay, behind the welcome center in the courthouse parking lot.
