New Shuttle Service from Talona Ridge RV Resort
We are now running a shuttle service from Talona Ridge RV park to Chateau Meichtry at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm Monday through Saturday. Our last shuttle leaving Chateau Meichtry returns at 5:30pm.
Chateau Meichtry is a family owned and operated winery and vineyard, located in north Georgia wine country. The vineyard lies in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The rolling hills provide a perfect location for growing quality wine grapes. We invite you to come out for a tasting or a glass, while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
In 1921, at the age of 25, Stephan Meichtry traveled to America from the canton of Valais, Switzerland with only a suitcase and an adventure for life. He settled in Maspeth, New York, where he would later raise his two children and further develop his passion for wine.
It is believed that when he came to America, he brought his own root stock from Switzerland and grew the vines he used for his lifelong wine-making. A stock from these same vines is now planted at Chateau Meichtry Vineyard.
Although Stephan has passed, his love for life lives on through his daughter Doris and his appreciation for viticulture and wine in his Granddaughter Karin. Please share in our dream with us, while enjoying a Chateau Meichtry wine, in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.

Wine List
Chardonnay
This classic Chardonnay was barrel fermented in 100% new Hungarian oak for 3 months. Weekly stirring of the lees brings this complex chardonnay layers of Pineapple, Citrus and pear.
Suss Weiss
This aromatic white is 100% Georgia Grown blend of Catawba and Traminette. Notes of lychee fruit, honeysuckle and apple. On the palate notes of apple and a slight minerality lead to a smooth slightly sweet finish.
Sweet Amelia
This Lemon Delight is a sweet white wine of Seyval Blanc fermented with lemons on the rind. 16.8 % alcohol. Perfect for those after dinner sippers.
Semillon
This white Bordeaux variety shows notes of lemon, pear, lime, and a hint of a floral meadow. On the palate notes of citrus and minerality lead a way to a nice balanced finish.
Rose
This sweet rose is 100% merlot grapes macerated & pressed for only 3 hours with skins on, to produce this blushing color rose. Notes of strawberry & candied raspberries. A perfect summer sipper!
46 North
This red blend is 65% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon & 15% Merlot. Aged in a combination of French & Hungarian oak, you will get aromatics of cherry, raspberry & earth. On the palate, notes of cherry, vanilla & candied raspberry.
George’s Cuvee
This estate red is a blend of 90% Norton and 10% Noiret, aged in a combination of French, Romanian, Hungarian and American oak barrels. On the nose, notes of plum, fig and black pepper. On the palate, dark fruit and spices.
Pinot Grigio
In this dry aromatic white you will find hints of lemon and grapefruit and fresh roses. On the palate, tastes of lemongrass and citrus lead to a crisp finish.
La Fleur
This aromatic dry wine is a blend of 50% Symphony and 50% Riesling. Notes of apple, honey, grape. On the palate, lychee fruit and passion fruit lead the way to a crisp finish.
Gypsy Flowers
Its back! A white blend of 70% Muscat and 30% Sauvignon Blanc. On the nose, hints of citrus including orange peel, lemon and fresh cut flowers.
Sweet Amelia

Sweet Cerise
This 100 % Georgia grown Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot base was fermented with dark sweet cherries. 16.5 % alcohol
Shooter Ray
A delightful blend of Merlot & Petit Verdot, this sweet red is named after our own vineyard hound, Shooter Ray! Barrel aged for 24 months in French Oak, it is a chocolate & wine lover’s dream!
Passengers
This red blend is 58% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah & 10% Merlot. Notes of red fruit and bell peppers. Aged in a combination of French and Hungarian oak for 20 months.
Lineage
This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Zinfandel, is aged in French oak for 19 months. Enjoy aromas of plum, blackberries and vanilla. On the palate, dark fruits, vanilla & spices.
Old Vine Zinfandel
This old vine Zinfandel is a blend of 90% Zinfandel and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of cherry and raspberry on the nose. On the palate, a balance of red fruit, dried herbs, with a hint of vanilla. Aged in a combination of French and Romanian oak.
